Born October 16, 1983 on the east side of Detroit. Raised between Detroit and Jacksonville, Florida. His journey took him through foster care, the streets, the height of success, and eight years inside the Department of Corrections.

Today Phillip is an entrepreneur — pursuing his CDL and building a legacy his six children can be proud of. The Burden the World Never Knew is his debut memoir under PLJ Publishing — a company he built from the ground up as proof that reinvention is real.

He is not who he used to be. And that's exactly the point.
